PALS added two new comparison reports to PALSconnect ERM: Resource Usage and Payments by Fiscal Year.
PALS is pleased to announce that Lake Superior College in Duluth, Minn.; Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, Minn.; and Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minn.; have chosen the PALSconnect ERM to manage their electronic resources.
PALSconnect LINKER and ERM, based on Simon Fraser University’s CUFTS and GODOT open source software, underwent a series of enhancements recently, including the addition of several new reports.
Two new reports were added to the ERM. “Payments by Fiscal Year” is a new report that shows the payment for each database for each fiscal year. The “Resource Usage” report includes the usage statistics for electronic databases and the cost per use of each database. The statistics for this report are collected using the COUNTER standard, whereby database vendors like EBSCO convey to their customers how many patrons are accessing their databases.
At the request of our PALSconnect ERM libraries, several new enhancements have been added to the PALSconnect ERM.
A new Resource Usage report has been added. This report provides the title of the database, sessions, searches, cost/session, cost/search based on fiscal year.
The Payments by fiscal year report has been enhanced so that libraries can choose the desired resources they want to be used in the report. Previously this report was run on all their databases.
It is now possible to easily download COUNTER stats into an excel spreadsheet.
Libraries can create individual COUNTER records and manually enter COUNTER stats.
