Training for the Consortium of MnPALS Libraries on the Alma and Primo software by the PALS staff will occur between September 5 and December 7, 2018. This is the training that will prepare library staff for go-live. Additional training will be scheduled as needed after go-live (January 29, 2019).
Most of the training will be done via webinars. Webinar training will include the major functional areas of Discovery, Acquisitions, Resource Management, Fulfillment, and Resource Sharing, roughly in that order. Other special topics will also be covered along the way. Many sessions will be repeated to allow for attendance by as many staff as possible. Sessions will also be recorded for those that cannot attend or those that wish to review the training at a later time. In general, the days and times that will be used for webinar training are:
- Tuesday, 10:00 – 11:30
- Tuesday, 2:00 – 3:30
- Thursday, 10:00 – 11:30
- Thursday, 2:00 – 3:30
- Friday, 9:00 – 10:30
- Friday, 11:00 – 12:30
