Northeast Document Conservation Center

From their site: “Founded in 1973, NEDCC is the first independent conservation laboratory in the nation to specialize exclusively in treating collections made of paper or parchment, such as works of art, photographs, books, maps, manuscripts, and more.” A great source for information on standards, and they plan the “Digital Directions” conference each year.

VALA Libraries/Technology and the Future

Independent Australian not-for-profit organization that “aims to promote the use and understanding of information technology within libraries and the broader information sector”. A lot of great webinars are available under the “Events” page, and materials from the VALA 2016 conference are available. You will need to register with your email to access the slides and videos.

CLIR Council on Library and Information Resources

“The Council on Library and Information Resources is an independent, nonprofit organization that forges strategies to enhance research, teaching, and learning environments in collaboration with libraries, cultural institutions, and communities of higher learning.”

This site is more geared toward corporate/business DAM solutions, but still appears to have good resources about digital asset management.

From their website: “Digital Asset Management News contains the latest news, reviews, trends and opinion about the Digital Asset Management (DAM) industry including comment by the editor as well as feature articles contributed by independent authors.”
