Trudy sent out the evaluation report on Tuesday, November 5; not everyone had reviewed it. She will send again as a PDF. Overall comments were good for this year’s User Group meetings. UC Reps commented on breakout sessions they attended or led. Perry commented that as a result of the PALSdiscover breakout sessions, regularly scheduled Q & A sessions will be taking place.

Elections, Workday Topics, etc.
Workday topics – some UG discussed. Forum boards will be created for each group to post ideas. Some pages on the wiki include past ideas that could be referred to as well. Emphasis made that not only are ideas needed, but presenters.

No specific outcomes requiring PALS work were noted from any of the UG.
5. Fall 2014 User Group Meeting Planning
Motion made and seconded to have the 2014 User Group meetings on Thursday, October 23, 2014, at the Wellstone Center. Motion passed.
Note: Wellstone Center was only available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays in October. Date was chosen to avoid EM and MLA.
6. MnPALS Plus Working Group
Updated charge approved at Reference/Instruction business meeting was moved, seconded, and approved, and will be brought to EC. Comment that a call for additional members will be going out by either the MnPALS Plus Working Group chair or Perry.
Updated charge includes adding PALSdiscover to the purview of this group:
To provide oversight and guidance for the development and refinement of the open source VuFind-based products provided by PALS, including MnPALS Plus and PALSdiscover. To conduct regular usability testing and/or opportunities for feedback on MnPALS Plus and PALSdiscover.

Open discussion about eagerness of staying on Aleph or considering moving to another ILS; general consensus is no hurry at this time; keep an eye on Alma at U of M; keep hardware upgrade costs in mind.
Get dates out for Spring Workdays as soon as they are set so people can plan for library coverage. Steering Committees generally begin planning in January for the Spring Workdays.
