Data quality improvement workshop
There will be Data Quality workshops.
Stephen - Importance of Data Quality, some shelves are not reflecting what is showing up in ALEPH.
Importance of smooth migration to new system
Also, concerned with duplicate records
Catalogs need to be in compliance with OCLC’s record number, because of concern with cleaning up merged records. Concerns with how migration will hand merged records.
Adam - Addressing mergers are taken care of in OCLC’s field 019. This is a cross reference, and believes solves PALS - OCLC concern, about this aspect of data cleanup.
OCLC charging per record is a deterrent from making suggested changes.
Mark - would like to move this discussion to a workshop, or off-line.
Michael - Made the suggestion that there could be some specific examples brought to a workday.
2016 User Group

Perry raised the issue of shortening scheduled time for User Council meetings
Future User Council Meeting most likely will be scheduled for a shorter amount of time. There will be a greater consideration with Agenda and time scheduled, for the meeting, matching, to avoid a delay between meetings.

Diana would like to know when the agenda for the next workday would be finalized; this will help with paperwork needed to attend next workday, or a preliminary agenda?
