It is our pleasure to announce that Daniela Kroon is our new Cataloging Training and Support Specialist.
Daniela, or Dani for short (pronounced Donnie) has begun working at PALS. She received an MLIS from Dominican University, attending St. Catherine in St. Paul. She was the cataloger for the Traverse des Sioux Library System at the headquarters in Mankato Minnesota for seven years. Most recently she worked for a publishing company and learned what it takes to get a book published. Daniela is interested in learning on how patrons use the catalog; where do user click, what do they search for and most importantly do they find what they are looking for.
Dani grew up in Bremerhaven, Germany along the North Sea coast. She states “My husband and I reside outside of Mankato in the country. We enjoy life in the countryside with three goats and three sheep, yes they all have names. We do have the sheep sheared and have their fleece turned into yarn. I am a knitter, enjoy reading, gardening and in general being outdoors.”
She will be attending the Workdays and the Annual Meeting so you can meet her in person then. She will also be doing some site visits.
Please make her welcome. Her contact information is:
