The PALS Islandora community held a webinar on restricting access in Islandora on Monday July 10th. This was in some ways a continuation of discussion we held at the first Islandora workday in April, but it also really helped us gauge the needs of our partners when it comes to access restrictions. It began with a brief overview of how one can restrict access access in Islandora. For more details, please click here.
How do you get started with all the work involved with digital asset management?
Please find two new brief guides from Southwest Minnesota State University and St. Cloud Technical and Community College that contain tips on how you might approach getting started with all this DAM work at https://damstories.wordpress.com/.
Have your coffee and come talk with us about digital asset management! We will be holding an online Coffee Hour where you can ask us any questions you have about Islandora, and we can demonstrate any aspects for you. Please feel free to ask us anything.
The Coffee Hour will be on June 15th from 2-3 PM CST (the perfect time for a cup of coffee or tea).

We are excited to announce that you can now explore your digital material on the go! Watch this video to see it in action. We have implemented mobile responsiveness for two of our partners, Minnesota State University-Mankato and The College of St. Scholastica. This is all thanks to our Systems Developer, Simon Mai, who built a Drupal mobile theme. It will work on any of your mobile devices. This theme is now available for all of our partners and we will be working on implementing it for all.
Minnesota State University-Mankato recenctly completed ingesting their yearbook collection in Arch, their digital repository, which uses Islandora. Ingestion began June 19, 2015 and completed November 17, 2015.
