The most requested feature for MnPALS Plus and PALSdiscover has been some way for libraries to track their users. PALS staff have implemented the open source software, Piwik, to give libraries the opportunity to track user statistics.
Our next MnPALS Plus Office Hour will be Tuesday, February 17, 9 am.
This session will be open to all libraries who are using MnPALS Plus and PALSdiscover. Our focus will be on determining when we can move the new version of the software into production, possibly as early as the middle of March.
The next PALSdiscover Office Hour is scheduled for Thursday, February 5th at 2:00 pm.
This Office Hour will focus on the new version of MnPALS Plus that we are in the process of implementing. This will be your chance to help shape any last minute changes to the MnPALS Plus interface. This session will be open to all libraries.
PALS is pleased to announce that new Development Servers for MnPALS Plus and PALSdiscover are available for patrons to use. Each library already running PALSdiscover or their own virtual host can get to their new development server at: https://xxx.mplus2d.mnpals.net/vufind/catalog/XXX where each “xxx” are replaced by your library's 3 letter PALS code.
Just a reminder at the beginning of the school year, especially if your library or institution's website has been redone over the summer, to check the links from your library catalog back to local library page(s). In the Aleph OPAC:
Check the link when you click on your institution's logo.
If you have an automatic timeout set (via the metatags) back to your library homepage.
Check any external links on the Other Libraries and Databases page.
