Recently I’ve been asked What can PALS do to support Cooperative Collection Development. That got me thinking……..
What does it mean for PALS or MnSCU support for cooperative collection development? $ perhaps? PALS could definitely provide a venue for a discussion at the User Group Meeting or even a special pre- or post- UG session if it won’t fit in the UG day. PALS would supply the venue of course, and maybe lunch or something.

The Request for Proposal for the MnPALS Future LMS was issued by PALS via MSU, Mankato on December 4, with responses due by January 29.
Four vendors responded to the RFP. Functional scoring groups have been working on scoring their sections of the responses. The scoring groups will be meeting this week to finalize their results and forward them to the Task Force. The Task Force will meet this Friday to review all the scoring and decide which vendors to invite for demonstrations in late March.
The Executive Committee unanimously approved the RFP for the MnPALS Future LMS. The RFP will be published on December 1st and vendor demos are planned for Spring, 2016. A lot of hard work went into writing the RFP. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback to the RFP. The RFP Feedback Form is now closed and the Task Force will begin working on incorporating the changes into the final draft. That draft will be posted in the forum on November 16. You will need to log into the forum to see the final draft.
The final draft of the RFP will be presented for approval to the User Council and Special DDC meeting on November 19, 2015.
