- Summary: Join your colleagues for an informal discussion on acquisitions/serials work flow issues. Come prepared to ask questions, share your library's procedures and hear from other libraries about their own procedures. Dee Nolan from MnPALS will be in attendance for ALEPH-related queries.
- ILL/CIRC Overdues Tables
- Presenters/Moderators: Susan Dueis, Sonja Eilertson
- Summary: This breakout session will focus on the setup in tab18 and tab32 so your library can send circulation overdue notices to your patrons who have a loan for an ILL request. Also how to send notices to a borrowing library will be talked about.
The focus of this breakout will be on tables.

- MnPALS Consortium Circulation Policy
- Presenters/Moderators: Susan Dueis
- Summary: The Consortium of MnPALS Libraries Circulation Policy, which is a "Policy and Procedure Statement on Universal Recognition by PALS Libraries of Other PALS Libraries Borrower's Cards" needs updating. This is a discussion about revisions to the policy so that it may be forwarded to the DDC/EC for review. This breakout session will be both "in-person" and via an Adobe Connect web meeting, to allow participation of those who couldn't make it to User Groups. - Exporting LHR (Local Holding Records) to OCLC - MARC Tag Cleanup on serial holding records
- Presenters/Moderators: Dee Nolan, Mary Ann Greenwald
- Summary: PALS has recently sent a test LHR file to OCLC for Inver Hills Community College. The PALS office was able to pull the necessary holding information and fix certain tag fields in the file for this test load.
The data is only fixed in the file. We are not able to fix the data in the holding record.This session will inform libraries on the correct data needed in their serial holding records. Libraries can then clean up their records and also understand how to create new serial holding records with the correct tag information.

- ILL Best Practices and Workflow
- Presenters/Moderators: Sonja Eilertson and Agnes Lee
- Summary: Please be willing to share any workflow tips you have. Questions submitted so far- Where does a borrowing library add a note to a lending library?, Is there a way to add a source field?, Can patron class be added to the lending slips?, Is there a way to select and print multiple requests?, How are library staff handling ILL requests for textbooks?, Requests for articles from electronic resources.

- Inventory Management
- Presenters/Moderators: Peg Lawrence, MSU/Mankato; Bruce Willms, Metropolitan State University; Mary Ann Greenwald, PALS Support.
- Summary: ADMs differ on how they want to conduct their inventory; i.e. online manual or batch. This session will touch on 3 areas: 1) central server site issues ranging from providing the file from the alephe/scratch or data/scratch directories to configuring the Shelf Report Number (SRN), 2) an ADM library's experiences with the online manual inventory using a wireless laptop, and 3) an ADM library's experiences using the batch inventory in conjunction with an RFID reader. We will try to leave time for a question and answer session.
