Acq/Serials
- A global change was made to the To Date in the Subscription Record and also to the Subscription End Date in the Order Record for all libraries that use acquisitions and/or serials. This change was requested by the acquisitions/serials user group. The tech staff completed this global change on Sunday, February 22, 2009. The criteria used for these changes was dates of 12/31/2010 or greater was changed to 12/31/2025. If you have questions, please contact http://pals.custhelp.com
- Conducted Version 19 Information Sessions on Acquisitions and Serials.
Cataloging
- Conducted v.19 Information Sessions on Cataloging/Holdings/Items/Indexing. A recorded session can be found at https://breeze5.metnet.edu/p94006859/
- A new answer 3289 has been created in the Knowledge Base for v.19 "How to move an item general retrieval file (ret-adm-01)from the alephe/scratch to a library's data/scratch directory".
- Writing HELPs for v.19 Custom (priv) Reports
- Plans are underway for the joint Acq/Ser/Cat Workday on Thursday, April 23, and Cataloging workday on Friday, April 24. The workdays will be held at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul. Watch for registration information.
Circulation
- Conducted Version 19 Information Sessions on Circulation.
- Writing help for custom (priv) reports in v.19
- Circulation work day still in the works
Course Reserves
- Created a v.19 Course Reading and Reserves GUI Environment Data Review document and recording.
- Conducted 3 sessions of v.19 Course Reading and Reserves GUI Environment functional training. A recorded session can be found at https://breeze5.metnet.edu/p82392363/
ILL
- Conducted Version 19 Information Sessions on Interlibrary Loan.
- The Circulation and ILL Steering committees are working on a combined circulation and interlibrary loan workday. They are looking for input from library staff.
OPAC
- We chose to remove the ACQ Request button that was appearing in the Web OPAC in version 19 until we are able to do some further testing.
Systems
- Conducted "Systems Informational Session" Topics - Task Manager, Staff Privileges and Services Changes (Reports).
- The ALEPH client is available for download by the libraries at http://www.mnpals.org/sections/aleph19download.html
- Reviewing 'Job_List' for any changes that may be required by the libraries.
Information Sessions Version 19
- We have completed Version 19 Information Sessions. We offered 29 sessions. We had 462 enrolled attendees.

- We have posted a v.19 Go Live Information document. It lists important dates and tasks to be doing now, during downtime and at switch to production (STP) on v.19. - 33 sites "Live" on EZproxy, we have 2 sites that are building their web pages and should be up by the end of March - PTC, CLC.
- Working with 1 remaining "New" site - ATC - Server is ready - This site requested EZproxy training sometime during the spring.
