Download Aleph 18 Software

1. Create a temporary folder on your local hard-drive.

2. OPTIONAL: Install ALEPH 18 Over ALEPH 17 PC Files. 

   This process will explain how to install ALEPH Version 18 so you can still use the .ini files and .dat files from Version 17.

   This is NOT a required process. Use ONLY if you want to retain your current version 17 pc files in version 18.

4. A "Save To" screen will come up. Select the temporary folder location you created.
   
   
5. Next go to the temporary folder and double-click on the XXX18.EXE. This will "Explode" the file out into 22 additional files. (XXX = Your institution code)
   
   
6. Double-click on "SETUP.EXE" to install the program.
   
   
7. This download defaults to the "dev18.mnpals.net" (development) server. Once we go live with version 18 (June 2008), you should point the Aleph software to the "aleph.mnpals.net" (production) server, open the AlephADM module, select Configuration, Libraries Manager, Libraries tab. Modify the host name on the right side from "dev18" to "aleph". Checkmark "Apply to All", click "Apply" and then "OK". Close Aleph and reopen. The top line should now say "Server:aleph.mnpals.net"
