Technical Services Report: March 2007System news and work completed
- Lute will be unavailable beginning on Wednesday, April 4th for about a week in order to clone the database from Harp, test indexing with adjacency turned back on, and add the OWN code to the direct indexes. We will also be testing a new method of indexing (similar to indexing the Delta) to reduce the down time on Harp as well as, upgrading Oracle and applying the latest security patches.
- The new PALS website was rolled out today.
- Performed a global change for CTC to fix their NetLibrary records.
- Performed a global change to fix the OWN code on the holdings records for three libraries.
- Performed a global change for MTR to fix the first indicator in some of their holdings records.
- Fixed the cataloger level on 30 records that were identified as edited by the wrong library cataloger and given a higher cataloger level so the owner of the bib records could no longer edit them.
