Development and Systems News
- Set up server and software to run the new PALS website.
- Reconfigured storage on Harp and Lute to prepare for the upgrade to version 17 on Harp.
- Enhanced the cir-30 report and implemented in production. An additional retrieval option by collection and two fields were added to the report

- Ongoing software fixes to reported system problems.
- Ongoing system maintenance and upgrades.
- Ongoing installation of service packs on Lute for version 15.5. ILL service packs are being installed on both Lute and Harp.
- Attending Indexing Task Force meetings.
- Attending Reports Group meetings.
- Continuing to work with the UNIX system monitoring software.
- Continuing to work on LibProxy.
- Continuing to perform weekly updates to the Authorities database on Harp.
- Continuing to report ILL software problems to Ex Libris and install service packs for ILL.
- Waiting for p_manage_18_p (record loader using parallel processes), p_file_99 (Marcive), and "golem" fixes from Ex Libris.
- Waiting to hear from Baker and Taylor to enable MWW to order from two accounts.
- Claims testing with EBSCO will resume in version 17.
- Waiting to hear from Ex Libris about problems with discounts and funds when using Blackwell's Book Services Collection Manager to create order records in Aleph.
- Suspended loading all Marcive records until a fix or solution is received from Ex Libris about the matching problem. Cannot delete and reload GAC's Marcive records until the matching problem is resolved.
- Currently working on a report that displays the number of times a title has been checked out and the collection. There will also be an option to pull the data by a date range.
- Currently working with individuals from the Reports Group to obtain specifications for the reports that are needed. The reports have been prioritized.
- Continuing to work on the Aleph 17 tables and configuration issues.
- Local modification to the base set of HTML documents is done. The base set was copied to each ADM, and local ADM customization is in progress.
- The version 15.5 production data was exported from the 12/09/06 backup and imported into the Lute 525 region.
- The version 15.5 production data was exported on December 16th and will be used in the final conversion and upgrade process.
- The final upgrade is in progress. Lute version 17 is unavailable.
- The final extract of the Authority database from PALS was completed. The Authority database will be refreshed in version 17 on Harp.
- The export of the Delta data from Harp version 15.5 is expected to begin on January 1st.
- Harp version 15.5 will be gone on January 1st, and catalog searches will be redirected to the Lute 525 region (data from 12/09/06).
- The OWN code will get added to the holdings records while the Delta data conversion is occurring.
- Adjacency will be turned off and the fixed fields that were recommended by the Indexing Task Force will be in the final version 17 production data.
- Version 17 on Harp is expected to be available on January 5, 2007. The 525 region on Lute will be gone.
- Work on the file transfer from the business office and reformatting it for input to Aleph remains to be done.
