- General session topics suggested included migration to new versions of Aleph, a review of the Ex Libris regional meeting, and managerial statistics.
- Topics for all user groups - those that have task forces should review the standard process which will be developed before then.
Task Forces
- Continued the discussion of task forces in general and the recommendation that there be a uniform method of handling task force recommendations.
- There was a comment that it would be helpful to know what is coming in new versions in order to know where to focus.
- When a task force is having a vote, someone must monitor the mailing list from each institution.
- A group consisting of Edward, Ruth, and Kathleen Daniels was formed to edit the Access Task Force process document and make it generic. They will try to have a document out to the User Council by early March. The User Council will vote electronically. The document will be distributed at the User Group meetings.

Feedback on conference call option
- This meeting was an experiment in using conference calls as a method for conducting the meeting. Approximately half of the members of the User Council participated in that manner; the consensus was that the meeting was a success.
- Edward commented that it was difficult to know if someone was out there. Rosie liked it. Sandy commented that it flattens the meeting, and need to practice using it. She said it was nice to have the option. Dee said it was sometimes difficult to hear. It was difficult to identify who was speaking. Would like to have the option again.
