Online public access catalogs can be clunky and difficult for users to navigate. MnPALS Plus provides a more satisfying search experience with a sleek interface, faceted searching, book covers, author biographies, and fast response time.

PALS integrates Web Scale Discovery with the library catalog using VuFind and a new display approach called “channeling.”

VuFind displays results in two columns or “channels”. One channel displays search results from the library catalog while the second displays results from the Summon web-scale discovery service using the vendor APIs.
