System News and Work Completed

1. Rasmussen College records were deleted on production.

2. Completed the third data conversion for ECRL.

3. Fixed searching problem on the ECRL servers.

4. Attended Evergreen conference in Michigan.

Work in Progress

1. Working on enhancing the monitoring and reporting of system services from Nagios.

2. Working on enabling disc space backups so we will have both tape and disc backups. All the Linux server backups are now being written to disc.

3. Running p_manage_103 on the weekends to flip any remaining records in the Bib database.

4. Need to set up a cron job to run p_manage_15 periodically on production. This will be done after the p_manage_103 process has been completed. This deletes unlinked Bib headings. How often this will need to be done is yet to be determined.

5. Switched EDI ordering from Blackwell to Yankee Book Peddler for GAC.

6. Working on final conversion to Evergreen for ECRL. They plan to go live on 5/24/2010.
