System News and Work Completed

1. Completed final data conversion and migration for ECRL. They went live on 5/24/2010.

2. Completed testing GAC EDI ordering with Yankee Book Peddler and installed on the production server.

3. Set up a new logical base for St. Cloud State University (SCS) and web pages so they can search their curriculum materials in course reserves.

4. Completed a minor MnPALS Plus fix in reference to displaying fines.

Work in Progress

1. Working on enhancing the monitoring and reporting of system services from Nagios.

2. Working on a disaster recovery plan for system and data resources.

3. Running p_manage_103 on the weekends to flip any remaining records in the Bib database.

4. Need to set up a cron job to run p_manage_15 periodically on production. This will be done after the p_manage_103 process has been completed. This deletes unlinked Bib headings. How often this will need to be done is yet to be determined.

5. Working on PALSconnect Linker enhancements and fixes requested by the libraries running Linker.

6. Set up some South Dakota libraries to do ILL locates in Aleph.

7. Set up new libraries on PALSconnect Linker: Riverland (RVL), Minneapolis Community (MCT), Century College (CEN), Pine TC (PTC), Dakota County TC (DCT), and Hennepin TC (HCT). There are eight libraries either using or in the process of using PALSconnect Linker.
