Aleph ILL to OCLC WorldCat Resource Sharing Direct Request

You are invited to join a web session on Thursday July 12, 2012 at 1:30 p.m.

The session will last about 90 minutes.

This session will introduce the new functionality of transferring an ILL request from Aleph ILL to OCLC WorldCat Resource Sharing software. This session is for ILL staff who update requests in Aleph ILL software and in OCLC WorldCat Resource Sharing software. Both the Aleph ILL and OCLC WorldCat Resource Sharing software programs must be used by library staff. Library staff who send requests to EXTI ILL unit will want to attend to see a different option for managing external ILL requests.

When your library has supplied an item on interlibrary loan the “Due date” display in MnPALS Aleph, MnPALS Plus and Aleph Circulation has been changed to display the date the item is due. This change was requested by the ILL User group.

Previously the “Due date” display was “In Transit/Sublibrary and the due date” for the item supplied on interlibrary loan. Some patrons found the in transit/sublibrary text to be confusing so that text was removed from the "Due date” display for items your library supplied on interlibrary loan.

This change will go into effect when your library’s pc server and web server re-start.

You are invited to join a web session on Aleph ILL Archiving Services Patron Link Removal and Request Archiving on Friday, March 23 starting at 10:00 a.m.

The session will be presented by Sonja Eilertson and will last 1½ - 2 hours, depending on questions!
